The Batman – DC FanDome Teaser has been released in the DC Fandom event. Though the movie shooting hasn’t been completed DC and WB thought of giving the fans a glimpse of their work. Robert Pattinson is playing the role of Batman for the first time and after watching the teaser you can see that he has nailed it. The teaser doesn’t have much story to talk about but has given the viewer the plot of the movie.
Matt Reeves is the director of this movie and present the production of this movie has been shut down due to pandemic. The trailer also introduces a few key characters, including Jeffrey Wright’s James Gordon and Zoe Kravitz’s Catwoman.
Have a sneak peek into the trailer:
Arguably the most shocking part of the trailer isn’t Pattinson and Reeves’ take on Batman but on Bruce Wayne. This doesn’t look like the well-kept, put together playboy version of Bruce Wayne that fans of Christian Bale, Michael Keaton, and even Ben Affleck’s portrayals may expect. Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne is a little more unkempt, a little more goth; consider me intrigued.
“I’m Vengeance” this dialogue by Batman brings goosebumps to the fans.
“Without being an origin story for him, it’s something that touches upon his origins,” Reeves said.
In addition to The Batman, Reeves and Sopranos vet Terence Winter are working on a Gotham PD TV prequel spinoff series for the film, with HBO Max already on board.
Reeves said during the DC FanDome panel that, due to coronavirus, only 25-percent of The Batman had been filmed so far. As a result, the film’s original summer 2021 release date was pushed back a few months to October 1st, 2021.
