HBO Max is planning to develop a new Batman TV Series that focuses on The Penguin. This series will be a spinoff to the original Batman Series focusing on The Penguin. The project is still in the early stages that Lauren LeFranc is penning. The main character for this series is yet in talks; the villain in The Batman movie Colin Farrell was approached. There is no deal on whether he will work in this series or not.
The Batman spinoff series will be mainly on the rise of The Penguin in Gotham criminal Underworld. The director of this series will be Matt Reeves and the executive producer Dylan Clark under 6th & Idaho and Dylan Clark Productions banners. We’ll get to see the portrayal of this villain in the main film will be just limited to five to six scenes.
The Penguin is one of the oldest villains in the Batman series of movies and comics. The first portrayal of this character was by Danny DeVito in 1992’s Batman Returns. The Penguin character is a wealthy person who uses his family wealth to fund the criminals in Gotham city. He funds the criminal empires and nightclub businesses.
The Batman movie is yet to be out in theaters in March 2022. The movie is supposed to be out in 2021 but has been postponed due to the pandemic. In this movie, Robert Pattinson will be seen as The Batman with the black cap trying to protect against crimes in Gotham city.
