If you are a movie lover, then 2020 might be a little downside for you as there were very few movies. Bur Netflix says not this year. The streaming company has more than 70 movies in the roaster, greater than Disney and HBO Max combined in 2021. Netflix has announced a film slate of all these movies today. Netflix is planning to release one movie every week in 2021 alone to cover all the films. These movies include many debuts of directors. Netflix is not going to stop there but is planning to buy more films in the year.
The situation in theaters is still shaky, and Netflix is taking this as an advantage. This situation has given Netflix a prime position to buy films from studios like Universal or Paramount who think of selling. Netflix is the best thing for many people during a lockdown situation. It has entertained more people than its rivals. But now times are changing as HBO Max has got all the WarnerBros movies with many popular titles. Disney, on the other hand, has acquired the MCU movies and web series in its hand.
To handle all this, Netflix should be more competitive and get more movies. Netflix took this seriously and shows us how good they are at retaining and entertaining their customers. HBO Max has some exciting titles that include Dune, The Suicide Squad, and The Matrix 4 that will grab some attention. But the key in the digital platform is to have big films and consistency and talent.
