Netflix’s other big-budget film is now Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead. This movie trailer shows us a gang planning on a heist. That won’t be fun to watch as we got lots of heist movies. This is where Zack stands out; there will be going against some zombies. Yes, they will be fighting against the zombies in Las Vegas to get the money.

The city is set as a zombie apocalypse rather than the usually Vegas casino. The teaser doesn’t show much information but offers a glimpse of the lead actors. The gang seems to be led by David Bautista, and the other actors accompanying him will be Ella Purnell, Ana de la Reguera, and Garret Dillahunt.

Snyder is not new to zombie or action movies. His last zombie movie was Dawn of the Dead back in 2004. He has many super hit films under his name, like Man of Steel, Watchmen, and Justice League. This movie will be a special one for Zack as it is a second wholly original story by him. His first entirely original story was for the Sucker Punch in 2011. It took him a decade to be back with an original story.  In this decade, he has directed many superhero films for the DC comics characters. His upcoming movie is the Justice League, coming on March 18th as an exclusive HBO Max release.

Netflix, on the other, is looking to bring a new franchise on the streaming platform. The company is planning for another film in the Army of the Dead: The Prequel, a German-American co-production directed and starring Matthias Schweighöfer (who’ll also appear in Snyder’s film). There is also another anime-style TV series Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas. This will have many characters from the main film with their reprise.

The movie will be coming on May 21st on Netflix.
