Adobe Max Keynote 2020: "Creativity for all" with updates to Adobe apps

Adobe Max 2020 keynote done virtually yesterday due to the current scenario in the world. This keynote theme is “Creativity for all” and has some updates to some of the famous Adobe applications. These include Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premiere Pro.

Illustrator:

Adobe Illustrator is now available for the iPad and adding support to Apple’s pencil. This brings all the core functionalities that were present in the earlier stages for the PC version. This update is a big announcement for mobility solutions. Adobe includes 18000 fonts and some new features like radial, grid, and mirror repeat. This makes editing on the iPad easy.

Illustrator for windows has a new feature to recolor the artwork. We can also add themes to the artwork. There is cross-platform support also which makes it easy to switch between desktop to iPad.

The Adobe Illustrator for iPad is available for free to all the Creative Cloud members with Illustrator in their pack. Else the app can be subscribed at $9.99/month.

Photoshop:

Photoshop for iPad has some new features such as Refine edge which precisely selects fine details which include fur and hair. We can now rotate the canvas in the iPad freely to get the perfect angle you want to edit. Curves to the images are also now available on the iPad from which you can balance image tones and contrast. Photoshop also has the cloud sync feature which you can save the pics from the iPad and open it on the desktop to continue your editing.

Adobe Photoshop for desktop brings Pattern preview. This feature allows you to quickly create complex or tileable patterns. Another exciting feature is the sky replacement. Adobe sensei an AI tool in Adobe has this new feature. The sky replacement has some sky samples or you can also import some. The sensei is smart enough to change the foreground image based on the sky present in the image.

Photoshop has new Neural Filters that are powered by the Adobe Sensei and developed by Nvidia. Some of these filters are colorizing which turns your black and white pictures into color pictures. There are more of them which you can check.

These filters are available in the latest version of Photoshop.

Fresco on iPhone:

The Fresco app is now available on the iPhone. This painting app is initially available on the iPad and some Windows system with touch support. And now Adobe has brought the Fresco app to the small screen with all the features available with other big screens like the iPad. The phone is something that we have always in our pocket and we get most ideas when we are with others. It also has the new Text support to include text in your pictures.

The app is available for free in the AppStore but for the premium features, you have to subscribe for $9.99/month.

Lightroom, Premiere Pro, After effects, XD, and Adobe Aero:

Lightroom has brought some new color grading. It takes the position of the earlier split toning and gives the ability to change the toning of the image with color grades.

Premiere Pro has new sensei abilities that convert the Speech to text. It can now automate speech transcripts from the video and make the subtitles and captions. It also has got some major performance upgrades.

After-effects have the Sensei-powered Roto brush 2 which tracks the objects on selecting them. This tracking is done frame by frame isolating the subject automatically. There is a new 3D Design space which has improved camera tools to navigate and design in 3D faster and better.

XD has new 3D transform tools for UI/UX designers to bring depth and perspective experiences for AR. Adobe Aero has a public beta on the desktop for users to create immersive and interactive AR experiences.
