Apple users finally get Picture-in-Picture(PiP) mode for YouTube

Apple iOS and iPadOS users finally get YouTube Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode. This feature is already is available for android users for a long time. This feature will let you perform multitasking for Apple users. The Picture in Picture(PiP) feature is only limited to premium users in the US. Apple is planning to release this feature to all the users in the US soon. This feature will be available for iOS 14.

Apple users have been using other workarounds like using shortcuts apps or using YouTube in the safari browser. Now it seems that Apple users will not have to go through all this hassle. This brings Apple users in the same line as Android users for the YouTube PiP feature.

According to the post by MacRumors Google told “Picture-in-Picture (PiP) allows users to watch YouTube videos in a small mini player while simultaneously browsing outside of the YouTube app on their mobile device. We’re starting to roll out PiP for YouTube Premium members on iOS and plan to launch PiP for all US iOS users as well,

In Android, the PiP mode is not only available for premium users but also regular users. This feature is limited to the users in the US to have an ad-supported PiP playback. Apple might also bring the same feature to iOS and iPad users. For all the other regions in the world, the YouTube PiP feature soon. In India, the feature might be only limited to the premium users of YouTube. For the non-premium users, the PiP mode seems not coming soon in India.
