After the announcement from Valve of its handheld gaming PC ‘Steam Deck,’ it has got the attention of all tech companies and rivals. The device coming from Valve that owns the Steam store, has also got the eye of its rival Epic games. Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney praises Steam Deck on Twitter. Not only Epic games CEO also the Xbox CEO has praised the work of Valve Software.
He mentions “Amazing Move by Valve!” to design a handheld PC/console. He adds that in addition to the move, making a device with an open platform is exciting. In addition, he also mentions that the device will be open to installing windows or other stores. The word other stores refer to their own Epic games store. This means the Epic Games will have another platform to grow on. These comments from a rival company CEO are always great to watch from the view of Valve.
Amazing move by Valve! A handheld PC/console hybrid running the SteamOS fork of Arch Linux, and it’s an open platform where users are free to install software or their choosing – including Windows and other stores. https://t.co/jf5TWUWGP5
