Facebook launches Live Audio Rooms feature similar to clubhouse

After the sudden popularity of Clubhouse, an audio-based social media platform, many companies have started making a clone version of the app. Facebook is the first company to starting working on making the clone version of the application. The company has also tested this feature that also includes video support. In addition, today, Facebook has launched the Live Audio Rooms feature that will work along with podcasts.

The Live Audio Rooms feature announcement has been made through an official newsroom post. This new feature will be similar to the clubhouse. There will be different rooms on different topics, and users can join in the room to listen to the live conversation. This feature is one of the exclusive to the audio products from Facebook that were announced earlier this year. For the iOS and Android apps, it is available in the US present.

Live Audio Rooms feature has a lot of similarities from the Clubhouse and Twitter space. They will be speakers and audience and a limit of speakers to 50. Celebrities or Public figures can open a room and start a discussion, and others can also join the speakers to express their views. One extra feature from Facebook Live Audio Rooms is that the room admins can raise a fund to donate to Facebook.

When you look at the UI, it seems a lot similar to Clubhouse and Twitter Spaces. The extra element Facebook has added is a front row where users will be given speakers or hosts buyable stars. Apart from that, users will also be able to have live captions. Facebook has partnered with many public figures to spread this feature.

Let’s see will this feature in Facebook be a hit or a flop.
