Google always has a sweet spot for India. For instance, Google-Jio’s strategic partnership means a lot for Indian Digitalization. Previously, they had a Google Station project that provides free Wi-Fi service in almost all the railway stations in India. But Google ended it later on. Also, whenever Google hosts an I/O event, they showcase their AI applications tested with Indian users. They believe in Indian markets and its huge growth potential. Google has already contributed a lot to the Digital India Campaign. Wait, we’re out of track, the topic is Google Pay getting logo redesign for Indian users.
After Google observed huge growth in the number of Internet users in India; What’s a better opportunity than this for Google to introduce its applications to India. Google Pay literally breaks the Internet with its games and sticker collections. Google is a proven master in applying those strategies and making users actively do transactions via Google Pay. It gifted millions of rupees to Indian users during those campaigns; We can talk billions too (I assume) considering the Internet users in India. Here, take a look at Google for India 2020 highlights.
Google Pay new logo
Google Pay (previously Tez) revamped its logo for Indian users. There is no traditional “G” in the logo now. It looks like two horseshoes interlinked diagonally (I know that is “the” worst comparison, thanks for baring me). It shows Google’s colors again; No surprise in that because Google revamped many of its logos and added Google colors in them recently. A Twitter user tweeted showing the Google Pay icon and the splash screen of the beta version.

Google intentionally made a huge brand awareness with its colors, using them in applications mostly which are under Google Suit. However, Google Pay is not one of those. Google might have a different intention. Reportedly, Google is working on UI revamp too. Let’s just see what changes they gonna bring.
