Instagram Reels need no introduction to all of us. It is a short video format that lets you use record video with some effects and filters. These effects are provided by Instagram that makes the content creator ease of making these videos. Until now we have the option of recording a Reel for about 60 seconds. And it is found that Instagram is looking to increase the time of the video length to 90 seconds.

Instagram Reels is a feature that was announced back in 2020 when TikTok was banned in India. Since then it has made its way in the creators to share their content in a limited time. These kind of videos became so famous that now YouTube also has a section called YouTube Shorts that allows you to record short video just like Reels or TikTok.

TikTok has already introduced 3 minute video feature that lets users to record videos up to 3 minutes. Now since Instagram Reels is a direct competitor for TikTok it might also have the time limit increased to 90 seconds. This feature is found by Alessandro by using the reverse engineering technique. The feature won’t be available now in any of the versions. The feature might be coming in the future updates or may even not show up. Instagram needs to game up in order to compete with the world famous application TikTok. Even though most of its users were Indians before now after its ban it also was able to beat out Google in the most search thing on the internet. In the year 2021 TikTok was the most searched on internet pushing Google to the second position after almost 2 decades.
