One of the famous social media applications, Instagram, now lets all users share links in their stories. Until now, this feature is limited to only verified Instagram accounts or accounts with at least 10,000 followers. At first, this was a swipe-up only feature, but recently Instagram replaced it with a sticker.
Insta shares this news through an official blog. According to Instagram sharing links is a helpful feature for everyone. Now that the quality is available for everyone, that means anyone can share a link to their favorite URL. This helps you to keep engaging with the followers for anyone. This doesn’t tell that you can share anything you want. If anyone is found sharing misinformation or hate speech, then that feature will be removed.
Instagram, when it announced the link in stories feature, mentioned that this is only for Stories. It also says it has no plans to expand the feature to feeds or other parts of Instagram. Now, if you are wondering how to add the links to the stories, follow these steps:
- First, upload the picture or anything you want to add to your story.
- Then head to the stickers tool from the top navigation and select the link sticker.
- Add the URL that you want to share. The link sticker will now be created.
- You can resize and place the sticker where you wish to.
Have fun and keep sharing your favorite links with your friends and followers. This feature isn’t a surprise as the feature was in development for a long time. This move will help the upcoming creators to share the links without redirecting them to the bio.
