Instagram pushing the expansion of Reels with Reels Ads launched globally. The new format of advertisements will be available in all regions.
The ads can be up to 30 seconds long, just like Reels. And vertical in format, like ads found in Instagram Stories. Similar to Reels, people can like, comment on, and save Reels Ads.
According to Instagram, “After a successful test in select countries, today we’re launching Reels ads to the world. Reels is the best place on Instagram to reach people who don’t follow you and a growing global stage where anyone can discover brands and creators.
These ads will help businesses reach greater audiences, allowing people to discover inspiring new content from brands and creators.”
The company had previously tested Reels ads in India, Brazil, Germany, and Australia. And then expanded those tests to Canada, France, the U.K., and the U.S. more recently.

Like other ads on Instagram, the company will also provide people with controls on the Reels ads they see. If people see an ad they don’t like, they can skip the ad or tap the menu on the post to hide or report it.
