Meta Facebook smartwatch spotted on the internet

The smart watch has a notch on the front

Meta (facebook) smartwatch

Well, well, we have a leak of the upcoming smartwatch from Meta (Ex-Facebook). These leaked pics prove that Facebook/Meta is looking to develop a smartwatch. But a normal smartwatch would mean it is no different from Apple or Samsung. So to differentiate them from others, it has got a new design in the smartwatch.

Bloomberg first reported the smartwatch that was spotted on the internet. The photo of this smartwatch was found inside the company’s app for Ray-Ban Stories smart glasses. The main difference you can see is there is a notch on the screen of the smartwatch. The notch contains a front camera to capture images or videos. Okay, keeping the news aside, why would anyone keep a notch on the screen of the smartwatch. The answer is simple, but I don’t think many would like to capture pictures using a smartwatch. The screen size is so tiny to capture a photo using that camera. We already have smartphones that are capable of capturing the best of shots using the front camera.

The Meta smartwatch wants to look different and be a journey in the company’s vision of building a Metaverse. The watch’s outer shape does look a little similar to the Apple Watch with a rectangular design and curves on the edges. You get a button on the right side of the watch. But if this smartwatch is true, then Meta (Facebook) is working on two different smartwatches. We got reports earlier that Facebook was working on a smartwatch with a detachable front camera.

Now with the rebranding, Meta might consider naming their smartwatch. There is a smartwatch as MetaWatch, so Meta should keep an eye on that to avoid lawsuits. The company is under many lawsuits currently for the data sharing it has been doing. Let’s wait to see what Meta has in plans to achieve its goals in building Metaverse.
