Telegram now supports 1000 viewers video calls

Telegram has now updated its video calling features in its latest update. Telegram also mentioned that they are going to develop this feature to include more users. Now you can have 1000 viewers in the group video calls. However, this broadcast video call is limited to 30 users and 970 participants. This feature looks similar to the Clubhouse app that is trending right now.

In this video call feature, you can also share the screen through a watch party. In addition to the 1000 viewers, update users can also send/receive a high-quality video with adjusted playback controls like speed. The playback speeds you can view the video are 0.5x, 1x, 1.5x, and 2x. For Android users, you can also view the video at 0.2x speed.

In addition to both the features, you can also share the screen in the one-to-one video call. This screen share also includes sound from the device. To share your screen, you have to go to the camera button and select the phone screen.

Telegram is managing privacy parallelly, adding new features to the application. You can now delete user chats with a new auto-delete feature that can delete messages after a month. Previously you only had the 1 day or 1-week span for the auto-deletion.

Another interesting feature that Telegram has included in the update is the Video Messaging 2.0. This new video messaging now lets you share some high-resolution quick video without saving it in the gallery—this kind of sounds like a gif of our own. During the recording of this video message, internal audio will also be playing in the video.

Apart from the mentioned changes, there are only a couple of other changes that you can look at on this page.
