Twitter has been going through many changes since Elon Musk completely took control. At first, the blue checkmark on Twitter was only given to specific people, but Elon made it available to everyone with a subscription fee. Now, if everyone buys the blue checkmark, how do we find the official account of a particular person? For this problem, Elon and members of Twitter came up with a solution as an “Official” grey label alongside the paid blue checkmarks.

Esthar Crawford has shared the news from Twitter via a Tweet. She mentioned that the “Official” grey label would be rolling out along with the paid subscription of the blue checkmark. But a point to note here is that all the present owners of the blue checkmark on Twitter will not be getting the “Official” grey label. This label will not be available for purchase as in the case of the blue checkmark. So, to get the “Official” grey label, you need to be any government accounts,  business partners, media outlets, publishers, commercial companies, and some public figures.

Those who subscribe to the Twitter blue checkmark will get some unique features. One of these features is the edit Tweet option which has been pending for a long time. And you will not require to produce any ID as verification which was the case previously. But not sure if there will be additional features for the “Official” grey label accounts as of now since there is no mention of this from Twitter.
