Sundar Pichai suggested YouTube’s sea of the popular product unboxing videos could turn into a shopping opportunity.
Social Commerce is a strategy that worked well for Facebook and Pinterest. Google doesn’t want to miss it. Wallmart has already pulled out of Google Shopping in 2019. Few other major e-commerce stores are on the list. But if it rolls out, that’ll help many small businesses to sign up and sell their products through YouTube. That will be a great encouragement and helps them to drive customers from a site like YouTube.
The aim of Google is to implement a complete purchase process on Youtube directly instead of only advertising.
