Nothing ear 1 is finally officially launched globally, and here are our first impressions and thoughts. Carl Pei, the Co-Founder of OnePlus and now the Founder of Nothing, have announced the launch. During the virtual launch event, they have given us their idea in creating the product and how challenging it was to create a product that will stand out in the crowd. We recently saw the case of the Nothing ear 1, and today we got to see the official product.
Just before the product has been launched, there were leaks of the design by Flipkart. So the TWS (True Wireless Stereo) earbuds have some unique designs with premium features for sure. The specification of the product comes with the ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) that will let you have an immersive audio experience. The outer case also supports wireless charging and fast charging through the wire. Nothing ear 1 has an 11.6 mm driver for the deep bass and 3 microphones to catch the voice even in noisy environments. As per the company claims, the earbuds can give an uninterrupted audio experience of 6.2 hours and 34 hours with the charging case and ANC turned off. If you have the ANC turned on, you will get 4.5 hours from the buds and 25 hours with the case.
First Impressions and My views:
The whole idea of the launch of new earbuds from a startup is to have an innovative tech. They even mentioned that most earphones in the wireless segment try to be similar to the Apple Airpods or Airpods. Nothing wants to be different from all those in terms of design and quality. That is when they have got the idea of building transparent earbuds. After looking at the case of ear 1, I thought we would be having a similar approach to the earbuds. After looking at the design, it got me a mixed feeling about the product.
Their design, in some angles, does look like the Apple Airpods Pro. The only change you can observe is the stem of the earbuds. The stem of the earbuds looks so amazing where you can actually look at the interior design of the earbuds. I just thought the whole earbuds would look like that except for the ear tip.
Well, the most important aspect of an audio product is how it sounds. We could have a minimal talk about the sound quality and more about the design during the launch. However, they had released how they have tuned the audio before the launch of the product. When we observe from the consumer point of view, the one-paper feature looks amazing for the price they are offering. But the question comes how does it sound and how well the ANC is tuned for the product. If they have cracked this equation, then the Nothing ear 1 would be a great success for an attempt at transparent earbuds.
The sale of the product will be from August 17th and from July 30th in Europe. You can buy it through Flipkart in India and via the official website in other parts of the world.
So, that’s been it. Thank you for reading, and do share the article if you get a bit piece of information. Also, keep an eye on this space for more relevant updates. Stay safe, and we hope to see you around.
