OnePlus launches OnePlus Nord Core Edition 5G pretty much where we would expect it

The new NORD CE models has been launched with Snapdragon 750G

OnePlus launches OnePlus Nord Core Edition 5G where it ought to be

OnePlus was known for its flagship killer phones at affordable prices. For the past few years, the OnePlus has been shifting to become a true flagship phone. The prices of the phone have been increased and features. OnePlus has been getting a very positive response mainly for the software. The software it uses is similar to the stock OS with some minor changes. Last year OnePlus with the Nord series thought of capturing the mid-range smartphone category. The phone has been impressive in its own way and has brought OnePlus devices to many hands. Now it has got another phone OnePlus Nord Core Edition 5G in its lineup.

During the campaign of the Nord, the Ex-CEO and co-founder of OnePlus Carl Pei mentioned this series will be continuing. As per his words later in 2020, they have released Nord N10 5G and Nord N100 exclusive to Europe. On nearing the first anniversary of the OnePlus Nord last week we have got another phone into the Nord lineup. The OnePlus Nord Core Edition 5G was launched on June 10th along with the OnePlus TV U1.

Though OnePlus Nord has impressed the users for its price to performance it also had some flaws. The Quad Camera setup that has a 5MP depth and 2MP Macro are some of them which many didn’t know as to why they are present in the phone. The Macro camera is just horrible in the quality and I personally haven’t found any use of the 5MP depth sensor. It missed the headphone jack and if you have followed the hype the phone did fail Jerry’s bend test. OnePlus to launch a midrange phone as its first attempt did try in a good way but still got some flaws to get rid of.

OnePlus Nord CE 5G:

So as per the company claims the new OnePlus Nord CE 5G will be having the core elements from the OnePlus Nord. And I think the OnePlus has hit the bullseye with the OnePlus Nord CE 5G. The OnePlus Nord CE 5G comes with a 6.4-inch AMOLED 90Hz display that was similar to its big brother OnePlus Nord. The camera setup on the phone is now a triple camera setup with 64MP as the primary sensor. Finally, OnePlus got the equation of the camera setup but still has got a 2MP monochrome sensor. The secondary sensor will be an ultra-wide camera to capture the wide pictures. The third sensor that was skipped during the launch is the 2MP sensor which god only knows why OnePlus has kept it.

On the front, you get a 16MP Sony IMX471 single camera that also gives a good design look from the front. One of the cuts that OnePlus has made is removing the signature alert slider from the phone (Why OnePlus Why?). Maybe to replace this it has added a headphone jack. The battery is now 4500mAh and has got Warp 30T plus charging technology.

Now coming to the main brain of the phone processor. There were rumours that OnePlus might be using a MediaTek Dimensity 2000 chipset. But instead, the OnePlus went with a Snapdragon 750G that is a great mid-range processor.

The main puzzle for OnePlus to solve is the pricing. If you remember OnePlus Nord has received some YouTubers awards for the best value phone. To continue this OnePlus has priced the phone at much more affordable prices.

In India the pricing starts from Rs. 23,999 for a 6GB+ 128GB storage along with 8GB + 128GB priced at Rs. 24,999 and a 12GB + 256GB variants at Rs. 27,999.

In the UK the phone will be available starting from £299.00 with 8GB + 128GB and a 12GB + 256GB variants at £369.00.

On Conclusion, if OnePlus has launched this phone as their first Nord phone then that could have been a big success than the present Nord success.
