A Lickable TV that lets you Taste the food displayed on the screen

They call is the Taste The TV (TTTV)

Lickable TV screen alias TTTV

Have you ever wondered to taste food that was shown on the TV? Well, you are getting lucky as a professor from Japan has got a solution for this. The new display screen will let you taste the food items shown on the TV. Professor Homei Miyashita calls the lickable TV “Taste The TV” also known as TTTV.

So you wanna know how the lickable TV alias TTTV works? TTTV will have a total of 10 chemical tastes that can be mixed to get the taste you the item you are viewing on the screen. In order to taste the screen, a plastic rollable display with the flavor sprayed on it will come. You can then lick the rollable sheet to taste the item and then throw away the sheet. Miyashita shows us an example of how the TTTV will be working in the below video.

In order to produce these tastes scientists have used taste sensors in producing these chemicals. They have attached a total of 10 liquids that can form up to 20 different food types when mixed. The professor is actually looking to enlarge the taste with menus from all over the world. He says “Hope people from the future can download the taste of the food from different restaurants by staying at the comfort of their home”.

This does look interesting but raises many doubts. The first doubt I got was is the liquid that creates the flavor is not harmful. And it would be interesting to watch all the flavors inside so that we can taste many foods just by watching the lickable TV. There might be more applications coming from this idea and might also be used in theaters in the future.
