Apple announces Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC22), What to expect?

This will be an all-online event

Apple WWDC 2022

Apple has announced it’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC22). The event will kick start from June 6th till June 10th. The five day event will be an all online event and this is the third WWDC event happening online. Apple also said there will be an in-person session on June 6th with some developers and some students in the Apple Park.

WWDC is a annual event that shows us the upcoming features of the Apple software. The software focused event gives details about the upcoming iOS, iPadOS, iWatchOS, macOS, and tvOS. In the official blogpost Apple also mentions about conducting more information sessions, learning labs, and more digital lounges to engage with the attendees. Unlike the previous WWDC event this time the theme of the event seems to be mainly focused on the software.

If you observe last year we have got to see the new M1 powered MacBooks announced during the WWDC21. As there have been rumors Apple is working on M2 chip that we might to be unveiled this year maybe during the WWDC22.

There have been also rumors about a VR Headset that Apple has been working on might be unveiled this year. But all these are just assumptions based on the previous WWDC events and leaks. We need to wait until the event has been started to find out more.

“In that spirit, WWDC22 invites developers from around the world to come together to explore how to bring their best ideas to life and push the envelope of what’s possible. We love connecting with our developers, and we hope all of our participants come away feeling energized by their experience.” – Apple

Details on how to apply for the event will be “given soon“.
