A law made by the EU has been in news for a long time about forcing electronic devices to switch to type-c ports. This also includes even Apple iPhone which has a lightning port. Let’s see if Apple plans to switch to a type-c port iPhone. There are chances that Apple might follow the law and make a type-c phone. According to the latest news, it seems Apple will launch iPhone 15 with a Type-C port.
The law that was devised by the EU says that all electronic devices need to adapt to one port i.e., type-c. The reason for this is simple type-c port is used in more devices and has the capability to transfer data at high speeds and supports faster charging. It would be easier if all devices adapt to the type-c rather than introducing a new port. In this scenario Apple is not new to the type-c port, the iPad Pro and iPad Air do have the type-c port for charging. It is the iPhones where Apple needs to make the small change.
But upon having a close look at the law it is mentioned that any device that is connected through a charging cable needs to follow the law. So, what if the device does not have any ports and needs to be charged wirelessly? Simply you do not need to obey the law and I think Apple will be eyeing this point. Some leaks from previous did suggest to us that Apple is working on a portless iPhone and if that’s true then the statement given by the Apple executives in the interview about complying with the law would be perfect.
