Apple is known for its privacy and lets users stick to its ecosystem. Apple recently launched a Bluetooth tracking device called Apple AirTags to take on its rivals like Samsung SmartTag and others. Since the launch, Apple mentions that privacy is their priority, and they have made the AirTags with new privacy features. They say that these privacy features were missing from the rivals. But the critics took that seriously by testing in several ways and found a missing privacy feature. To answer that privacy feature, Apple is developing an Android app to track nearby AirTags.
The AirTags can be used to easily track or spy on people, mainly having an Android phone. The loop here is the Apple iPhone users will only detect AirTags. Android users don’t have permission to track the AirTags present near them. Apple recently has released an update to address some of the privacy features.
Now Apple has confirmed that they will be working on an Android app to detect AirTag and update its sensor. This might address most of the privacy features from the AirTag. There was no official mention about when the app will be available, but it is looking to release the app by the end of this year. Apple, in its recent update, has made a change in the lost mode. Previously the AirTag would make a sound when it is three days from the separation of its owner. After the update, AirTag can play the alert at random times ranging from 8 to 24hours of getting separated.
