Apple AirTag device was launched to detect any of your gadgets or keys or any item that you tag. The device uses a Bluetooth and radio frequency emitting chip inside. Apple devices like iPhone can track the AirTags using an inbuilt application. During the launch, Apple also had plans to launch an Android app to track these Apple AirTag. They call that application as Tracker Detect on Android that detects unknown AirTags.
This new Tracker Detect on Android will track nearby AirTags that are placed near them. Apple AirTags was having a flaw in that when the AirTag was left with Android users it can be used to track or spy on them. Apple AirTags were made that the AirTags when lost near any Apple Device it will inform about the owner of the AirTag. But this feature was missing in the Android devices.
Now Apple has launched an Android App to find a nearby AirTag. The Tracker Detect app will be taking around 15 mins to show up when it is separated from its owner. Apart from the AirTag, it can also detect devices that are compatible with Apple’s Find My Network.
After finding any misplaced AirTag it will mark it as “Unkown AirTag” in the Tracker Detect app. After that, it will give you information on how to remove the battery from the AirTag so that it cannot track you. If you still think that someone is trying to track you it will also help you to inform the local enforcement. Though the app was made with good intentions there are many bad reviews on the app.
The negative reviews state that the application is not tracking any AirTags unless it is opened. The users want the application to be running in the background instead of us opening the app to check if someone is stacking us.
