Apple September Event 2020 has launched 4 new devices. After so many leaks and teases, Apple has launched new line up devices in Apple Watch and iPad. Unfortunately, there was no sign of the iPhone in this event. Now let’s get into each of the new devices.
Apple Watch Series 6:
The new Apple Watch Series 6 has a similar design to the older Apple Watches but this time we have a Solo strap. This new watch features a Blood Oxygen sensor and app. This new sensor checks the oxygen level in the blood in just 15 seconds. The Blood Oxygen level sensor which employes LEDs and photodiodes on the back. This sensor gets the reflection of the LED and with its, Algorithm calculates the color of your blood which gives the level of oxygen in our blood. The Apple Watch Series 6 has the Apple Silicon S6.
This S6 has a dual-core processor based on the Bionic A13 found in iPhone 11 but is optimized for apple watch. The S6 is 20% faster than the previous watches. The series 6 has an even better always-on display. This has two and a half times brighter when the wrist is down while we’re outdoors. There are a new memoji watch face and a lot more faces.
The Apple Watch now comes with a Family setup. This Family setup lets you setup watches of your kids and elders. They don’t need an iPhone to pair apple watch. Parents can now control and know where their kids are. The New Apple Watch Series 6 is available from 18th September and can start ordering from September 16th. The cost of the Series 6 starts at $399.
Apple Watch SE:
Apple watches to make it available to more people a new model is made that combines elements of Series 6 with elemental features of Apple Watch SE. This Apple Watch SE is more affordable than the main Series 6. It has all the features to stay connected, be active, and even keep an eye on the health. The Apple Watch SE has the largest and advanced display like the Apple Watch Series 6.
Apple Watch SE has the Apple Silicon S5 chip which is twice faster than the Series 3. The Apple Watch SE can be connected easily with the cellular model. The Cellular model will be useful to connect even without the phone. The Watch SE has all the sensors except the new Blood Level sensor of Series 6 in it. The Watch is available from $279 starting this Friday(September 18th).
Apple has taken an initiative to be carbon neutral by 2030 and with that in mind they have made all the devices with 100% recycled items and this time taking another step are not providing the USB power adapter in the Apple watch.
The Apple watches now uses the Apple Fitness+ a new service for fitness. This helps you to connect with the ecosystem of apple by seeing the videos on Apple TV and data on the iPhone. This Fitness+ has Yoga, Dance, HIIT, Cycling, Treadmill, Strength, Core, and even Mind for Cooldowns.
Apple One:
Apple One gives all the services you want in one simple plan. The Apple one has iCloud, Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple news+, Apple Fitness+. The plans of the Apple One are in three categories, they are:
iPad 8th Generation:
This year marks 10 years since the first iPad was shipped. Tim says that this is a big year for the iPad. Earlier this year we had some updates on the iPad Pro and now the remaining will be updated. After the successful iPad 7th generation a new iPad 8th generation is launched. The iPad 8th generation is powered by the A12 Bionic chip.
This chip has a 40% more faster CPU and massive 2 times the graphics performance than the previous iPad chip. Apple’s Neural Engine for Machine learning is now coming to the iPad 8th Generation with the A12 Bionic chip. With the introduction of the Neural Engine, it can process 5 Trillion operations on the iPad.
The iPad works with a Full-sized smart keyboard and even the keyboards from Logitech with combo touch and trackpad. The iPad also works with the Apple Pencil. The new iPadOS 14 makes the iPad more powerful which has a lot of features involving the Apple Pencil writing and drawing. Scribble a new feature to write on any text field even numbers are coming with the new iPadOS 14.
The new iPad 8th Gen now comes with the USB type-c which makes data transfer faster than before. The new 10.2″ iPad 8th Generation starts at $329 and $299 for education customers. Orders will start from today and they will be available from Friday(September 18th).
iPad Air:
iPad Air was introduced to deliver the Pro features at an affordable price. iPad Air is now completely redesigned. The new iPad Air has a 10.9″ Liquid Retina Display with a resolution of 2360 x 1640. That makes over 3.8 million pixels for crisp photos and texts.
The Touch ID of the iPad is the smallest Apple has ever designed and is present on the power button on the top of the iPad Air. The iPad Air has the new chip “A14 Bionic”.

This makes the iPad Air 2 times faster than the best selling laptop.
The iPad Air also comes with USB-C which makes 10 times faster data transfer than the previous iPad Air. The iPad Air has a 7MP front-facing camera with an f/2.2 aperture. The back camera is the same 12MP camera present on the iPad Pro. The iPad Air also supports the Apple Pencil.
The iPad Air will start from $599 and will be available beginning next month.
The new iOS 14 and iPadOS will be rolling out from September 17th.
