Asus is not a new company that plays with the screen on laptops. We have seen the ZenBook dual with a dual-screen setup that can be used for multitasking and creators. As technology moves faster, we get to see Asus’s first foldable screen Zenbook 17 Fold OLED laptop. A 17.3-inch foldable OLED screen will fold up into a 12.5-inch booklet. Asus made this announcement in the CES 2022, and the laptop will be available later this year.
This isn’t the first foldable display on a laptop; we have Lenovo X1 Fold taking the title. Unlike the Lenovo X1 Fold, a 13.3-inch foldable screen, Asus has made a very big one. Asus Zenbook 17 Fold will be a lot useful for multiple tasks and running various applications simultaneously.
The Asus Zenbook 17 Fold OLED has some cool features apart from the folding screen. You will get a keyboard that can snap on the screen when folded in half. This makes it a decent laptop for usage, and you can also use the keyboard detached from the screen. The detachable keyboard connects with the screen through Bluetooth. Now digging deeper into the internal specifications, the Asus Zenbook 17 Fold OLED has the latest 12th gen Intel CPU along with a 1TB PCIe 4.0×4 NVMe M.2 SSD. You get 16GB LPDDR5 RAM for the laptop of size 17.3-inch.
As the screen is the main attraction here, not only is the screen foldable, it is beautiful. It has a resolution of 2560 x 1920 and a constant ratio of 1,000,000:1 with a response time of 0.2ms and a refresh rate of 90Hz. If these don’t sound cool, you have been following the foldable display tech. The laptop will be available from Q2 2022, and the pricing is yet to be revealed(except it to be very costly given the features).
