CES 2021: The biggest announcements and reveals

The biggest reveals out of 2021 Consumer Electronics Show.

CES 2021 arrived with no delays, starting on Monday, January 11 to Thursday, January 14. The show usually takes place in the Las Vegas convention center, but not this time. It is completely digital this time. A virtual online event with almost 2000 exhibitors will have many streams from tech companies worldwide. You might watch it live in the comfort of home; we made a list of the biggest announcement from CES 2021.

MSI Stealth 15M – World’s Thinnest Laptop

MSI introduced a brand new 15-inch laptop, which is being said the world’s thinnest laptop. They call it MSI Stealth 15M and is equipped with the latest (just introduced yesterday) Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060.

It is the thinnest, like, 16mm thinnest, and weighs 1.7KG. So this could be another portable, ultra-thin gaming laptop after the premium Zephyrus series from Asus.

The MSI Stealth 15M features Cooler Boost 5 with two dedicated fans for CPU and GPU and up to 6 heat pipes. It promises a 9-hour battery life. The laptop got an FHD IPS-display with a 144hz refresh rate. The pricing starts at $1399.

Asus TUF Gaming and ROG Swift Gaming Monitors

Asus announced a trio of new gaming monitors: The TUF Gaming VG28UQL1A, ROG Swift XG43UQ, and ROG Swift PG32UQ. All three monitors support HDMI 2.1 and 4K. The three provide a decent color gamut and are ideal for a better console gaming experience.

Asus Rog Flow X13 Gaming Laptop with External GPU

Asus Rog Flow X13 is a thin and light gaming laptop that connects to an external graphics card for improved performance. The laptop equips an AMD Ryzen 9 5980HS processor and Nvidia GTX 1650 GPU. Asus adds another portable part to the package, the external GPU that contains an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card.

So it will be a great portable laptop and powers up only when wanted to.

Razer Smart Face Mask with RGB

Razer introduced Project Hazel, a take on “smart face mask,” as they call it. It is a rechargeable, well ventilated, and RGB mounted face mask. They said it features N95 medical-grade respirator protection that filters 95% of airborne particles. It got a transparent mouth shield, so now, people can see your expressions. Above all, it powers a “Voice Amp” technology, a microphone inside, and an amplifier to prevent the mask from muffing your voice. In conclusion, it did comes with Razer Chroma RGB lighting.

Razer also introduced a Gaming chair concept in CES 2021.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060

Nvidia introduced a new mid-range RTX GPU adding GeForce RTX 3060 to the lineup. It will be available in late February, starting at $329.

They’ve also introduced new 30-series to the RTX mobile GPUs, adding GeForce RTX 3080, 3070, and 3060. Nvidia also showed three laptops, showcasing these three new processors.

AMD Ryzen 5000 – Mobile Processors

AMD has announced its new lineup of Ryzen 5000 series mobile processors for laptops and gaming laptops.
Bringing the Zen 3 core to mobile, AMD announced three Ryzen 5000 Processors, including the Ryzen 7 5800U, Ryzen 9 5900HX, and Ryzen 9 5980HX.

It seems AMD’s Ryzen 5000 series out spaced intel’s 11th gen series again; the stats said so.

Intel 11th Gen H processors

Intel announced the first three 11th gen H processors (i5-11300H, i7-11370H, i711375H SE) for its next-gen gaming laptops. The new processors will enable the RTX 3000 series of cards and DDR4 3200MHz/DDR4x 4266MHz memory. Also, they support Thunderbolt 4 ports and faster Wi-Fi connections. It promises a 5GHz boost clock, 20 lanes of PCIe 4.0, and Intel Killer Wi-fi 6E (Gig+) wireless. It also revealed i9-11900K, which are coming in Q1 2021.

LG’s G1 and C1 OLED TVs

LG announced that the G1 and C1 series are coming to its 2021 lineup of televisions.

The G1 series features an OLED Evo technology, a brighter, more vibrant picture with a thinner panel display.

LG also added the C1 series to its lineup of CX televisions, coming in sizes ranging from 48″ to 83″.

Both series will have the new Alpha 9 Gen 4 AI processors, enhancing sound and audio using deep learning. The AI Picture and Sound Pro improve picture and sound quality.

Lenovo LaVie Mini Laptop

Lenovo has come up with an “Ultra Portable Pocket Size Windows PC” called LaVie Mini. It weighs just 1.28lbs (580 grams) and is powered by 11th Gen Intel Core i7-1180G7 CPU and Intel Iris Xe graphics. It got an 8-inch touch display and free attachable game control, making it look like a Nintendo Switch. You can also connect it to a bigger screen and play at 4K/60FPS.

Samsung Consumer MicroLED TV

Samsung is finally coming with Micro LED TVs for consumers, which is being teased since 2018. Samsung’s Micro LED TVs feature a 99.9% screen-to-body ratio. They are available in massive 88″, 99″, 110″ inch screen sizes. The name being said, these televisions use Micro LEDs, which are much smaller and self-illuminating. So they can produce perfect blacks and contrast like an OLED 4K TV can.
