Google has made some big announcements that showcase the next most significant things of the company. They include Android 12, Smart Canvas, Project Starline, Health tools, and many more. This article recaps the Google I/O 2021, and let’s talk six biggest announcements at the keynote out of the big pile of them.

1. Android 12 with “Material You”

Google on I/O keynote revealed the first look of Android 12. They introduced the brand new “Material You,” which holds many changes in the UI. For instance, the complete UI changes its colors to match the wallpaper. The UI is designed for easy one-handed usage, and it looks kind of similar to Samsung’s One UI. The beta is already out for Pixel devices, and other manufacturers are also working on it.

2. Google and Samsung merge their Wear OS and Tizen

Google and Samsung together launched “Wear.” Yeah, just “Wear.” Typically, Google’s Wear OS, unified with Samsung’s Tizen OS, will be the new smartwatch OS. They claim that the battery will now last longer, and the apps will launch faster. The upcoming Samsung smartwatches and Fitbit devices will be powered by “Wear.”

Sammy will not provide an upgrade to Wear on existing galaxy watches.

3. Google Smart Canvas

Google is interconnecting its workspace apps to make it more collaborative. For instance, users can now interact on a doc, sheet, or whatever and make video conversations on Google Meet parallelly.

4. Project Starline

Google unveiled the first look of Project Starline. It explains that it basically users high-res camera and depth sensors and creates a real-time 3D image model. Google said that this would give a feeling of the face-to-face meeting.

5. Google Password Manager will now let you change the password directly

Google will now let users change their compromised passwords directly from the password manager. Yeah, no need to log in to that particular website to change it.

The new password manager feature is now available for Chrome and Android devices in the US and will be available widely soon.

6. Health tool to identify the skin condition

Google introduced a new health tool that can identify Skin conditions using the camera. It asks users to take a closer shot of the affected area on the skin. It then asks the questions about their skin type and analyzes to give information about it.

In addition to these, Google made a whole lot of the biggest announcements on I/O 2021. Includes a new AI language called “Lambda,” their progress on making a quantum computer, camera app enhancements, and many more.
