Google Launch Night In Event yesterday(September 30th) has some new devices brought up and upgrades. The launch event featured four devices which are: Nest Audio, Pixel 4A 5G, Pixel 5, and New Google TV with Chromecast. Now let’s just get into them one by one.
Nest Audio:
The Nest Audio is a new smart speaker from Google. Google boasts that this smart speaker is 75% louder and 50% more bass than Google Home. They have also included a 19mm twitter for consistent high-frequency coverage and clear vocals. It also has a 75mm mid-woofer for the base. Overall the speaker was built to deliver natural sound. The California giant also claims to have done over 500 hours of tuning to get the lows, mids, and highs perfectly balanced. Nest Audio can even play podcasts and audiobooks.
Nest Audio can easily pair with old Google smart home devices such as Google Home, Nest mini, or Nest Hub. Of course no Google device without the support of Google Assistant, Nest Audio also does support in English and Hindi. The device will be available in 5 colors (2 colors in India only). The price will be $99 and will be available later this month.
Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5:
Both the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 are similar when compared to hardware-wise with only a few differences. We all know that Google has already released its midrange phone this year Pixel 4a. We also know that Google was about to launch a 5G phone later this year. Google did launch two 5G devices at an affordable price. Now let’s talk about specs of them.
Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 both come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G which supports the 5G. Pixel 4a 5G has 6GB RAM and 128 GB storage whereas Pixel 5 has 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The display of both devices is the same as FHD+ with a 6″ OLED smooth display on Pixel 5 and 6.2″ OLED display on Pixel 4a 5G. The camera setup on both the devices is the same with 12MP dual-pixel and 16MP ultrawide and an 8MP selfie camera. Pixel 5 has a 4080mAh battery and Pixel 4a 5G with a 3885mAh battery that can easily last you a day. Pixel 4a 5G also has a 3.5mm jack.

Night Sight and Portrait:
There are some new software updates by Google especially for the Pixel Fans. There is a new portrait mode in the Nightsight mode. With this feature, you can even take portraits in low light. You can see some sample shots in the Google blog.
Hold For Me:
Every Pixel fan loved the call screen feature which makes the google assistant answer the call. Now to improve this experience they have introduced another feature called Hold For Me. Hold for Me makes Google assistant wait on the line for you whenever you call a tollfree number and a business call put on hold. You will be notified when a person is ready to speak with you meanwhile you can enjoy your time.

Screensharing in Google Duo:
Another software update is that now you can share your screen while on a video call in Duo. With this feature, you can now plan and share your views with your loved ones. There is also one more mode coming in the Google Duo called “Duo Family HD mode“. In that mode, you can entertain your kids with some new interactive tools while you video chat.
Prices:
And now coming to the prices and availability Pixel 4a 5G is priced at $499 and will be available from October 15th in Japan followed by eight other countries(No India in the mentioned 8 countries). Pixel 5 is priced at $699 and also will be available from Oct 15 in the US followed by eight other countries and Canada from October 29th.
Google TV with Chromecast:
Google also announced a new Google TV which brings all the shows and movies together. This TV also brings all your subscriptions also to the home page.

The new Chromecast with Google TV comes with a remote with content that can play up to 4K HDR. The price of Chromecast with Google TV will be available at $49 staring from yesterday in the US. From 2021 Google TV will be available in Sony and other Android TV OS partners.

Not only that Google TV will be available through a new Google TV app, which will be rolling out from yesterday to android devices in the US. This will be a replacement for the Google Play Movies & TV.
