The Google Pixel Fold is a highly anticipated foldable smartphone from the tech giant, which is expected to be launched soon. Leaks and reports have revealed various design elements and specifications of the device.
Tipster Evan Blass has shared images of the Pixel Fold on Twitter, showcasing two colour variants: black and silver. The hinge of the foldable phone is of a lighter shade than the body.
The device is rumoured to have a 7.6-inch inner display with a resolution of 1,840 x 2,208 pixels and an aspect ratio of 6:5. It will also feature a 5.8-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1,080×2,092 pixels for its external display.
The Pixel Fold is expected to be powered by the in-house Tensor G2 SoC, a Titan M2 security chip, and 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. It will reportedly have a triple rear camera unit, including a 48-megapixel primary sensor with a wide-angle lens and two 10.8-megapixel sensors with an ultrawide lens and a dual PD telephoto lens.
The front camera of the Pixel Fold will be placed in a centre-aligned hole-punch slot at the top of the outer display panel. The device is expected to launch in two storage options: 256GB and 512GB.
Earlier reports suggested that the Pixel Fold might be priced at $1,799 for the 12GB + 256GB storage variant and $1,919 for the 12GB + 512GB storage option.
The Google Pixel Fold will be unveiled on May 10 during Google’s annual I/O event. The device’s unique design and advanced features have generated significant interest and excitement among tech enthusiasts, making it a highly anticipated release in the foldable smartphone market.
