Google’s upcoming Android TV dongle will cost $50 (around 3500 INR). According to a leaked report, the new streaming dongle is named as “Sabrina” and is listed in some U.S retailer wearing a $50 to 60$ range price tags.
A report by 9to5Google says, a dongle with a price tag at $50 is listed in Home Depot (a home improvements retailer in U.S). Added to that a word “Abbey” is printed on it. We can refer that to remote control. Yes, this is the first ever Google dongle that comes with a dedicated remote control. Droid-life has seen a $60 price sticker at Walmart. Android Police spotted the release date mentioned as September 30.
The color variants are like, Rock Candy, Como Blue and Summer melon. Google was rumored to be working on it’s Android TV dongle. It’s expected to launch along with Pixel 5, Pixel 4a 5G and it’s new Nest Speaker. From Google, it’s also expected to launch Chromecast Ultra which also comes with a dedicated remote control.
The product is also rumored to launch with a new Android TV OS which is tweaked for an entertainment-centric UI. Remote control adds more better surfing experience though. With the rumored price range and Google’s sleek OS can set this product in a good competition to Roku Streaming and Amazon Fire Stick. In India, it can fairly give a competition to Amazon Fire Stick, Mi TV box, Airtel Xstream Stick and Tata Sky Binge plus.

According to report, the successor to the Chromecast power up with 2GB of RAM. It runs with Amlogic S905X2 processor and pairs with ARM Mali-G31 MP2 GPU. This could include HDR 10 and Dolby Vision support. Sabrina is expected to be coming with Low Latency and Gaming mode which can probably support Google Stadia.
