Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold is the world’s first foldable PC. A foldable PC in the sense means the display. Lenovo has been working on this for 5 years. It is now available for preorder starting at $2499.
The Thinkpad X1 has a 13.3-inch OLED display which folds into half like a book. The main idea is to use a PC with all its features in a tablet-like display. The device comes with a wireless keyboard. When the device is folded into 90 degrees you can have a wireless keyboard on one half making it a mini laptop. You can also use an on-screen keyboard at that angle. The wireless keyboard charges while it is nestled inside. Thinkpad X1 fold comes with some more accessories which are Easel Stand and Lenovo Mod Pen. The X1 fold runs with Windows 10 optimized for the foldable design.
X1 Fold has an 11th gen Intel processors, two USB c ports, and a SIM slot. It has 8GB RAM and 1TB of storage. The device has a 55Wh battery and weighs 2.2 pounds(997 grams). It also has a 5G support.
Lenovo hasn’t revealed the exact date when the X1 fold will be available.
Thinkpad X1 Nano:
Lenovo also has another Thinkpad X1 Nano. The company says it is the lightest Thinkpad ever made which weighs 1.99 pounds(902 grams). This Laptop is designed for the new intel Evo platform. This means the laptop will have long battery life, fast charging, and a quick boot. Evo system means the laptop will have the latest 11th gen Intel CPU, WiFi 6, and ThunderBolt 4.
The X1 nano has a 13-inch 2K display with a 16:10 aspect ratio. The laptop will have two models one with a touch screen and another without a touch screen. The X1 Nano has some AI features as it can detect when you are walking by and wake itself up. The X1 nano has up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage with a 48Wh battery. The price of the X1 Nano will be starting at $1499.
Lenovo X1 Nano will be available from the Q4 of this year.
