LG launches two new TWS earphones known as LG Tone Free HBS-FN6 and HBS-FNS7. The specialty of these earphones is that they are self-sanitizing. The case of these earphones has a UV sanitization feature that sanitizes the earbuds when placed in the case. These earphones were released late in 2020 and took few months to come to India. HBS-FN7 also has ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) with the UV sanitization of buds. These TWS earphones sound tuning is done by the British loudspeaker maker Meridian Audio.
Specs and Features:
Among the two models, the HBS-FN6 is the low-end model. This doesn’t have the ANC but does have the UV sanitization. When the buds are placed in the case, the UV light will sanitize the earbuds eliminating germs and bacteria on the buds’ tips. There is no certification, whether it can eliminate harmful viruses such as COVID-19. The earphones support SBC and AAC Bluetooth codecs. The buds have an IPX4 rating for water resistance. The TWS will be having 6 hours of battery life and additional two full charges from the cases. The case has support for fast wireless charging.
The HBS-FN7 is the high-end version of both. These also have the same features as the HBS-FN6 but additionally, have ANC. Due to which a slightly less battery life when compared to HBS-FN6 of about 5 hours with ANC on always. Both the earphones have a 6mm driver and use Bluetooth 5 for connectivity.
Price and Avialibility:
The pricing of these earphones is very high compared to the other countries. The LG Tone free HBS-FN6 will be available from Rs. 24,990 and the HBS-FN7 will be Rs. 29,990. The US pricing is $150(approximately Rs.11,000) and $180(approximately Rs.13,200) for the HBS-FN6 and HBS-FN7 respectively. This pricing is way high than the Apple, Samsung, Sony, and Sennheiser which already have a demanding market. This pricing might disappoint the music lover and will be going for other options that are of much less cost. These are already listed on the LG Tone Free website and will be coming to offline stores soon.
