During the Xiaomi 2021 New Product Launch event, Mi launched Smart Band 6 alongside the Mi11 series. Mi Band series are being popular Fitness trackers out there, and its next iteration is already here. The Smart Band 6 brought the essential and most significant changes over its previous Mi Band 5. So, Let’s talk.

Mi Smart Band 6: Specifications

Mi Smart Band 6 is now has a bigger 1.56-inch AMOLED display with a 326 PPI, 152 x 360-pixel resolution. It is now 50% bigger and feels like the edges stretched to full screen. However, you can make that display even more beautiful by choosing from over 130 watch faces.

Band 6 now has the most requested feature, SpO2, to measure blood oxygen levels. The heart rate monitor and the sleep tracker are there as usual.

In addition, Xiaomi now offers 19 new sport modes in Smart Band 6, making it a total of 30 sport modes. The new 19 includes Indoor fitness, Indoor ice skating, HIIT, Core Training, Stretching, Stepper, Gymnastics, Pilates, Cricket, Bowling, Basketball, Street dance, Dance, Zumba, Volleyball, Table tennis, Badminton, Boxing, and Kickboxing, apart from the existing 11 modes.

Xiaomi claims that the Mi Smart Band 6 Battery Life will last up to 14-days on a single charge. The magnetic charger is more simplified now. However, it doesn’t seem to offer fast charging as Honor Band 6 does.

Features depending on regions

The global variant of Band 6 does not support NFC, whereas the Chinese variant does.

The Chinese variant comes up with Xiao AI, the voice assistant. And the global variant may come with Alexa voice assistant support depending on the region. But the Indian variant and in some other countries, the Band 6 might not get voice assistant support in it.

Price and Availability

Mi Smart Band 6 is priced at CNY 229 (~Rs. 2,500) for the standard variant and CNY 279 (~Rs. 3,100) for the NFC variant. It is available in six different strap colors, such as black, orange, yellow, olive, ivory, and blue. Xiaomi may kick off Band 6 globally anytime later this year.
