Microsoft allegedly working on the Chromium engine which is the base of both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge browser. So whatever Microsoft develops in Chromium that’ll work for Google Chrome too. Besides that, Microsoft making the Edge browser better day by day. Previously, Microsoft published a post that reads Microsoft is good for streaming videos. It shows better power efficiency compared to other browsers in the market. So this clearly shows that Microsoft wants the Edge browser to get the place where Internet Explorer failed.
A new feature will launch the Edge browser much faster
According to a report by ZDNet, a new feature called start-up boost works by launching core processes of the Edge browser at windows start-up. They’ll be in low priority and uses minimal space and helps in launch the browser faster.
It’s a no brainer for non Edge users, one can enable and disable the start-up boost feature any time they want. And this expected to release in January as Edge build 88.
Microsoft Edge will take the cake from the Internet Explorer
Internet Explorer is like ancient history. So many memes have encountered IE for different reasons and in a different sarcastic way. Finally, it seems to undergo deprecation. Microsoft is forcibly opening some websites on Edge when the user tries to open it on Internet Explorer. According to ZDNet, users trying to access some particular websites and IE fail to load the URL and opens it in the Edge browser instead. This shows that Microsoft is starting to deprecate Internet Explorer.
Reportedly, the same thing is happening for 1,156 websites. That includes some big names such as YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Yahoo Mail, StackOverflow, StackExchange, VK, ESPN, Chase, Hotstar, Moneygram, eharmony, and GoDaddy.
This kind of IE to Edge redirection is happening only on the computers where both IE and Edge installed. In conclusion, IE has to go and Edge can be a great alternative to Google Chrome; as it has more privacy allegations. Edge offers what Google Chrome offers as they both share the same engine and Microsoft tweaked it to work more smoothly and efficiently. And that’s what an end-user requires and focuses on.
