Microsoft to bring its xCloud to iOS via a browser
Apple has been disallowing services like xCloud and Stadia to be on the App store and to run on Apple devices. Later, it updated it’s policies and allowed those services with a whole bunch of restrictions. For instance, all the games in the service shall present as a catalog in the App store and linking their services to them. In other words, Google and Microsoft cannot have a single application that has access to all the games. Microsoft is going to solve this problem in the best way.
According to Business Insider, Microsoft told employees it plans to release a browser-based app for the Xbox Game Pass streaming service. Reportedly, this may arrive in early 2021. They stated that ‘We absolutely will end up on iOS’. This is an amazing move by Microsoft to stand out with Apple’s regulations. As this game-play on any device is nothing but streaming from our end, a web browser is pretty enough to do that job.
Reportedly, Amazon’s own game streaming service Luna is to offer a web app to bring it on iOS devices.

Microsoft publishes 10 principles for their App store
If you are following, Apple and Google play facing a lot of criticism around their 30% cut from in-app purchases. Big developers forming alliances against them. We all are aware of Epic games and Apple issues and lawsuits. Whereas all these things are happening around, Microsoft recently updated their policies introducing 10 principles.
The first one reads “Developers will have the freedom to choose whether to distribute their apps for Windows through our app store. We will not block competing app stores on Windows.” Well, this says how Microsoft giving the freedom to the developers. Another great move by the company to have better relations with the developers. Microsoft recently acquired ZeniMax Media and its game publisher Bethesda Softworks. Therefore, it now has control over popular titles like Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Wolfenstein, Quake, and Doom. With this move, Microsoft can finally counter the criticism that it is behind the Sony in quality games and catalog. Also, Microsoft is planning to acquire even more games to have beat Sony in the race.
Microsoft had took a brilliant move in switching its browser on to the Chromium engine. As it is an open-source engine, whatever the Microsoft implement is useful for both Edge and Google Chrome. It is to make it more reliable and efficient.
Also, Microsoft is planning to partner up with ARM to improve AI innovation for their IoT products. “Our collaboration with Arm to facilitate an end-to-end AI toolchain to simplify development is an important part of this strategy”. – Microsoft said in a blog post.
