The Nothing Ear (2) is the latest TWS earbud offering from the up-and-coming tech brand founded by Carl Pei, the former co-founder of OnePlus. Building on the success of Ear (1), Ear (2) boasts several improvements, including better audio quality, longer battery life, and advanced noise-canceling features.
One of the most notable features of Ear (2) is its transparent design, a signature aesthetic of the Nothing brand. The semi-transparent casing shows off the internal components of the earbuds and provides a unique and eye-catching look.
In terms of performance, the Ear (2) is powered by 11.6mm dynamic drivers that offer deep bass, clear vocals, and enhanced treble. The dual-chamber design ensures smooth airflow and provides a high-quality audio experience. The earbuds support Hi-Res audio and LHDC 5.0 codec technology, allowing for a frequency transfer of up to 24 bit/192 kHz at speeds of up to 1 Mbps.
One of the standout features of Ear (2) is its advanced noise-canceling capabilities. The earbuds offer personalized ANC, which adapts to the shape of the user’s ear canal for optimal noise reduction. The Adaptive mode enhances noise reduction, while the Clear Voice technology provides more apparent call quality.
Another innovative feature of the Ear (2) is its Personal Sound Profile, which uses the Nothing X app to provide a personalized sound experience based on the user’s hearing test results. The Dual Connection feature allows the earbuds to be connected to two devices simultaneously, and the Game mode enables low latency, making it perfect for gaming sessions.
The Ear (2) provides up to 36 hours of playback time on a single charge, and it supports fast charging, wireless charging, and reverse charging via the Nothing phone (1). The earbuds also feature Google Fast Pair and Microsoft’s Swift Pair for easy and fast pairing with compatible devices.
The Nothing Ear (2) is priced at Rs 9,999, making it a premium offering in the TWS earbuds market. However, with its advanced features, high-quality audio performance, and unique design, the Ear (2) is sure to appeal to audiophiles and tech enthusiasts alike. The earbuds will be available to buy from March 28 via Flipkart, offline stores, and Myntra and are set to compete with other ANC-enabled earbuds like the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 and Oppo Enco X2.
