Oppo is getting ready to launch a new smartwatch that is coming this July 27th. The new Oppo Watch 2 has been listed on a Chinese shopping website with some of the features. The new smartwatch will be coming with e-sim support. And also has a bigger battery than the previous version.
Oppo Watch launched a year ago to the international market. The Chinese company designed a watch that looks similar to the Apple Watch. It had the Google wearOS inside with decent battery life. Now Oppo is adding the e-sim feature that lets you use the watch independently without getting it connected to the smartphone. The new Oppo Watch 2 will be coming in two sizes of 42mm and 46mm. Users will also be getting the option to choose the strap, either silicon or leather.
Inside the watch will be the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 chipset with 16GB of RAM. Adding to that, there will also be an Apollo 4S low power chipset to improve the battery life. Oppo will be using the Google wearOS and also RTOS to have extended battery life. Apart from this, the watch will be having 50 sports modes and a special gaming mode. The Watch 2 will be IPX5 rated for water and dust resistance.
The watch will be launching in China on July 27th. We have to wait until the official launch so that Oppo reveals the details on the availability of the device to the other parts of the world. There are no leaks on the price till now, but looking at the features, it might be a little higher than the previous version.
