Redmi a sub-brand of Xiaomi has launched its first smartwatch in China. The smartwatch has a rectangular design with a curved glass on the display. Redmi claims it to have 12-day battery life in battery saver mode and comes with 24×7 heart rate monitoring. The Redmi watch weighs just 35 grams.

Specifications:

The Redmi watch comes with a 1.4-inch square display with 323ppi and a 2.5D tempered glass screen. The watch also has NFC support for payments through the watch itself. The watch has nearly 120 face options with more coming in the watch store. The smartwatch also does have water resistance up to 50m. The watch uses the latest version of Bluetooth 5.0 to connect with the phone. On the other hand sensors in the watch include heart rate, six-axis, geomagnetic, ambient light sensor, and sleep monitoring. The battery in the smartwatch is 230mAh which Redmi says can last up to 7 days with typical use and 12 days in battery saver mode. The watch takes 2 hours to charge completely.

There are up to seven sports mode which includes outdoor and indoor exercises such as cycling, walking, running, swimming, and free activities. The watch is compatible with smartphones greater than Android 4.0 and iOS 9.

Pricing:

Redmi Watch is priced at CNY 299 in China which is now available at a discount at CNY 269. This device will go on sale from December 1st on Mi.com. There is no official announcement about the launch in India but when converted the price of the smartwatch will be roughly Rs. 3,300. The watch is available in three dial colors known as Elegant Black, Ink Blue, and Ivory White. The strap colors include Ink Blue, Elegant Black, Ivory White, Cherry Blossom Powder, and Pine Needle Green.
