Samsung’s flagship processor Exynos 2200 launch should be happening on the 11th of January. But the launch was not done, and it seems Samsung has postponed the launch. Not only that, but Samsung has also removed the teaser of the Exynos 2200 on YouTube. It is hoped that the launch of this processor will be happening along with Samsung Galaxy S22 series.
There is no word on when the processor will be launched from Samsung. If you have been following Samsung, it first launched its flagship processor in early January and then its flagship S series phones. This is the first time we might witness the processor launch and the Galaxy S22 series. An article from Business Korea gathered some information from Samsung Electronics Official. They have mentioned that the Exynos 2200 will be launched by the end of January or early February.
Exynos 2200 will be a special one for Samsung as it is co-developed with AMD. The companies have taken the collaboration in the year 2019. Samsung Exynos 2200 will be the first product of their collaboration. This is the first mobile processor to have an RDNA 2 architecture for GPU that is developed by AMD also used in the next-gen consoles Sony PS5 and Xbox Series X.
After the processor’s launch is postponed, the news about Samsung using Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor in Europe, the US, and Korea rather than the Exynos 2200. However, the article in Business Korea states that the Snapdragon version will only be available in the US. We have to wait and see until that’s an official notice from Samsung about the launch.
