Samsung has officially confirmed that there will be no Galaxy Note coming this year. However, there are many fans for the Note series the company had to take the decision. Instead, it started expanding the support of the S-Pen to other Galaxy devices like the new Galaxy S21 Ultra. According to the leaks, the upcoming Galaxy Fold 3 will also be having support for the S-Pen. These moves are made to satisfy the Note fans so that they can also buy other devices and enjoy the S-Pen feature they love. In response from the fans, they have raised a petition to Samsung to bring a new Galaxy Note series phone.
The Sammobile started this petition until now had got 26,000 people sign for it now(As of when I was writing this post). The decision from Samsung to discontinue the Note series will make the first time in a decade to not have a Note phone. The petition states that the idea is to skip the Galaxy S22 next year and release the Note flagship. Adding to that, they suggest Samsung release flagship lineups in alternative years to keep the fans happy.
According to the leaks from different sources, Samsung has already started to work on the new Galaxy S22. This means the idea they were suggesting might not be possible. There is no news on whether Samsung is planning to release a new Note phone next year. Samsung also mentioned that they would not have a Note flagship this year. This means they have not discontinued the series but just have put a pause to it. The decision has been taken to justify the current scenario of chip shortage around the globe. We are not sure if this petition will cause an impact on the plans of Samsung but will definitely show how much fans love the Note series.
