According to the report by wccftech Samsung is planning to expand its Exynos processor to the world of PCs. Samsung is planning to launch this chipset in the fourth quarter of this year. This processor is based on the new Exynos 2100 SoC of 5nm process technology.

Apple is the first to launch its version of chip M1 using the ARM technology in 5nm processor. The Macbooks having the processor has got a lot of positive response though it was mixed in the starting. The speed of the processing and the chip’s energy efficiency has brought a new chipset to the market. Before that, there were only intel or AMD processors to choose. Samsung isn’t the first to develop the idea of having an own processor in PC, but companies like Microsoft have plans of its processors.

Samsung will have the AMD GPU because of its on-going partnership with AMD. Having Samsung chips in other devices isn’t the first time. A tipster mentions the processor will be based on the ARM technology and similar to Exynos 2100. The Exynos 2100 is the companies first every 5nm processor to launch in their flagship mobiles competing against the Snapdragon 888.

A tipster named Anthony in his official Twitter account tweeted “Exynos for Computers. Can’t Wait!”. However, the tweet didn’t mention whether it will be available first in desktops or notebooks. On the other hand, Samsung has already got a benchmark that beats Qualcomm 865 with the AMD GPU. Qualcomm isn’t going to stay calm at this time as it also has plans to take over the Apple Silicon M1 chip. Intel recently has got a new CEO who says they should provide better products than Apple’s ecosystem.

There is no doubt that Apple has set the competition going on high in the PC processors. It is not going to stop upgrading and bring in some groundbreaking innovations. While others are trying to beat Apple M1, it is looking to make a second version of the Silicon chip.
