Microsoft Today has launched a new affordable Surface Laptop named as Surface Go. There is another laptop which is an update for Microsoft Surface Pro X. The Surface Go is aimed at students and those with a low budget. These devices will be available from October 13 in the US.
Microsoft Surface Laptop Go:
Microsoft’s most affordable Surface laptop ever made. The Surface Laptop Go has a 12.4″ display. The display is a PixelSense with 1536×1024 resolution. It has a 3:2 aspect ratio and a touch screen. Surface Go has 1xUSB A, 3.5mm headphone, 1x USB C, Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5.0, and Surface Connect port. The Laptop has two RAM variants 4GB and 8GB with LPDDR4X. The Storage also has two options 128GB/256GB SSD. The Surface Laptop Go has a 720p HD camera and speakers with Dolby Audio processing.
The Surface Laptop Go has a metal build with ice-blue, platinum, and pinkish-gold color variants. The laptop has a Fingerprint sensor to log in. It has a Windows Hello biometric authentication. The laptop runs on the 10th gen Intel i5-1305G1 processor.
Now coming to battery Microsoft claims you will get 13 hours of battery life on a single charge. The Surface Laptop Go is available from $549 for the lowest version.
Improved Surface Pro X:
Besides the Surface Laptop Go Microsoft has introduced an upgraded version of Surface Pro. This version is called the Surface Pro X. The design is similar to the previous one. The update to this device is inside. Surface Pro X has a new SQ2 processor. The SQ2 is Microsoft’s 2nd gen own processor specially designed for Surface devices. The SQ2 has been designed in collaboration with Qualcomm. Microsoft claims that SQ2 is the fastest chip ever that combines powerful processing with less power consumption.
The Laptop has a 13-inch PixelSense screen with a 2880 x 1920 resolution display. It has RAM offering up to 16GB with up to 512 SSD storage. Microsoft claims that it can last up to 15hrs on a single charge. It also has WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, and 2W stereo speakers with Dolby Audio. Surface Pro X is available from $999.
